Parent Partnership

We value good links with parents and carers. Our staff want to work openly and honestly with you in the best interests of your child.

Home/School Agreement

We ask all parents/carers to sign and support our Home/School Agreement which sets out clear expectations of the school, pupils and parents.

Parental Involvement Partnership

The Parental Involvement Partnership at Shibden Head aims to engage and support families to enable them to meet the guidelines in the Home/School Agreement so that their child can reach their full potential. The Parental Involvement Worker works alongside parents/carers to help them with issues such as parenting, attendance, concerns around children’s health etc. Support includes working with the School Nurse who holds regular drop-in sessions, organising courses either in school or in the wider community, e.g., The Family Links Nurturing Programme, Family Cookery, First Aid, and signposting families to appropriate outside agencies.

Parents are encouraged to play active roles in the ‘Friends of Shibden Head’ (FOSH) and to attend regular events that are organised by them, such as Family Night and coffee mornings. There are also opportunities for parents and carers to volunteer in school and the Parental Involvement Worker can help if you are interested.

Our Parental Involvement Worker is Mrs Tracy Raistrick.

If you want to contact Mrs Raistrick, please telephone school or call in at the office.
