Our vision, ethos and values
At Shibden Head we aim to create an environment where everyone involved with the school shows respect. Everyone at Shibden Head, be they child or adult, has a role to play and a contribution to make to the life of the school and its place in the community.
We aim to have a school, which provides stimulating, enriching and fulfilling experiences. Our children are our future and together we will give children the academic and life skills that they will need for a happy and successful future.
We believe that the goals and targets we set should be ambitious but realistic so every child has equal opportunity to achieve well and make good progress from their starting points. We strive to ensure that all our children 'Succeed at Shibden'.
We actively promote well-being for all and we teach our children the knowledge, skills and understanding that they need to make informed decisions about their physical, mental-health and safety as they grow so they will be well prepared for the next stage in their education.
